About

These are the days that must happen to you

-Walt Whitman

I graduated from a Canadian Medical School in 2016 but unlike the majority of my colleagues, I didn’t match to a residency program this year. Having finished medical school means I am now a doctor, but without further residency training, I can’t practice. I’m stuck in a weird limbo of being an MD in name alone and fumbling through a year no Canadian trained doctor expects to have.

This blog will chronicle my unmatched year. There will be a mix of reflections on challenges I face being an unattached physician and stories from the other parts of my life.
